Cold storage has always been an important part of the logistics industry. Cold storage is mainly used for the constant temperature and humidity storage of semi-finished and finished products such as food, dairy products, meat, aquatic products, poultry, fruits and vegetables, beverages, flowers, green plants, tea, pharmaceuticals, chemical raw materials, electronic instruments, tobacco, and alcoholic beverages. Cold storage is a type of refrigeration equipment; compared to refrigerators, it has a much larger cooling area, but they share the same refrigeration principles.
Equipment Composition：
Most cold storage facilities use refrigeration systems, employing liquids with very low vaporization temperatures (such as ammonia or Freon) as refrigerants. These refrigerants evaporate under low pressure and mechanical control, absorbing heat from the storage area to achieve cooling.
The most common type is the compression refrigeration unit, which mainly consists of a compressor, condenser, expansion valve, and evaporator tubes. Based on the evaporator tube installation method, refrigeration can be divided into direct cooling and indirect cooling. Direct cooling involves installing the evaporator tubes inside the cold storage room; the liquid refrigerant directly absorbs heat from the room as it passes through the tubes.
Indirect cooling uses a blower to draw air from the storage room into an air cooling system. The air is heated by the evaporator tubes circulating within the system before being returned to the storage room for further cooling. The advantages of air cooling are rapid cooling, more uniform temperature within the storage room, and the ability to remove harmful gases such as carbon dioxide generated during storage.

Cold storage is essentially a low-temperature freezing device, with freezing temperatures generally between -10°C and -30°C, used to store large quantities of frozen food. Also called refrigerated storage, cold storage is a type of refrigeration equipment. Compared to refrigerators, its cooling area is much larger, but they share the same refrigeration principle.
