1. Refrigeration Unit Selection
A refrigeration compressor, condenser, and other accessories assembled together are called a refrigeration unit. Refrigeration units are generally divided into water-cooled units and air-cooled units. Small cold storage facilities primarily use air-cooled units. The compressor in the refrigeration unit is the heart of the cold storage facility. Common compressors include domestic and imported semi-hermetic and fully hermetic types. When purchasing, it is important to check whether the refrigeration unit is domestic or imported, whether the configuration is reasonable, and whether the condenser is a standard configuration. Some contractors, in order to reduce costs, use smaller condensers and inferior quality condensers and refrigeration accessories from small manufacturers.
2. Cold Storage evaporator Selection
Air cooled evaporator come in two types: pipe-based and ceiling-mounted air coolers. Generally, high-temperature cold storage uses fans as evaporators, which are characterized by rapid cooling but are prone to moisture loss in refrigerated goods. Medium and low-temperature cold storage mainly uses evaporator pipes made of seamless steel pipes, which are characterized by good temperature stability and the ability to store cold as needed. When purchasing, check whether the inside of the pipes has been cleaned and treated, whether the welding and bending design is standard, whether the configuration is reasonable, and whether the air cooler configuration is appropriate and whether a standard air cooler is configured.
3. Cold Room Panel Selection
Panels for cold room are made of polyurethane sandwich panels and polystyrene sandwich panels. The surface can also be made of stainless steel, color-coated steel, or fiberglass. Polyurethane sandwich panels utilize advanced eccentric hook and channel hook steel plates. This eccentric connection method ensures proper connection between panels, resulting in excellent sealing and bonding performance that minimizes cold air leakage and enhances insulation. Cold storage units combining T-shaped panels, wall panels, and corner panels can be installed in any space. Polyurethane sandwich panels offer superior strength and insulation compared to polystyrene sandwich panels. Therefore, polyurethane sandwich panels are typically used in quick-freezing or low-temperature storage environments. Polystyrene sandwich panels, due to their better insulation and moderate price, are generally used in general low-temperature cold storage, high-temperature cold storage, and industrial and civil buildings such as food processing plants.
