For cold storage evaporator, is it better to use pipe or air cooler?

Cold storage evaporator (also known as internal machine, or air cooler) is an equipment installed in the warehouse and one of the four major parts of the refrigeration system. The liquid refrigerant absorbs the heat in the warehouse and evaporates into a gaseous state in the evaporator, thereby making The temperature in the warehouse drops to achieve the purpose of refrigeration.

There are mainly two types of evaporators in cold storage: exhaust pipes and air coolers. The piping is installed on the inner wall of the warehouse, and the cold air in the warehouse flows naturally; the air cooler is generally hoisted on the roof of the warehouse, and the cooling air is forced to flow through the fan. Both have their own advantages and disadvantages.

1.the advantages and disadvantages of the piping

The cold storage evaporator uses the platoon tube, which has the advantages of high heat transfer efficiency, uniform cooling, less refrigerant consumption, energy saving and power saving, so some cold storage evaporators will use the platoon tube. Compared with air coolers, the exhaust pipes also have certain disadvantages. In order to avoid these shortcomings from causing trouble to the refrigeration and management of the cold storage, targeted modifications can be made during the design of the cold storage. The design points of the platoon cold storage are as follows:

1.1 Since the pipe is easy to frost, its heat transfer effect will continue to decline, so the pipe is generally equipped with electric heating wire.

1.2 The pipe occupies a large space, and it is difficult to defrost and clean when there are a lot of goods stacked. Therefore, when the refrigeration demand is not great, only the top row pipe is used, and the wall row pipe is not installed.

1.3 Defrosting of the drain pipe will produce a large amount of stagnant water. In order to facilitate drainage, drainage facilities will be installed near the drain pipe.

1.4 Although the larger the evaporation area, the greater the refrigeration efficiency, but when the evaporation area is too large, the liquid supply in the cold storage is difficult to be uniform, and the refrigeration efficiency will decrease instead. Therefore, the evaporation area of the piping will be limited to a certain range.

2. Advantages and disadvantages of air coolers

Air cooler cold storage is more widely used in the field of high-temperature cold storage in my country, and more used in Freon refrigeration cold storage.

2.1. The air cooler is installed, the cooling speed is fast, the defrosting is easy, the price is low, and the installation is simple.

2.2. Large power consumption and large temperature fluctuations.

3

The air cooler and the exhaust pipe have their own advantages and disadvantages. The air cooler is small in size and easy to install, but the unpackaged food is easy to be dried, and the fan consumes power. The piping is large in volume, cumbersome to transport, and easy to deform. The cooling time is not as fast as the air cooler, and the amount of refrigerant is larger than that of the air cooler. The initial investment is relatively large. Transportation costs are getting higher and higher, installation costs are getting higher and higher, and piping has no advantage. Therefore, small and medium-sized cold storage usually use more air coolers.
