How does the condenser work?

A condenser works by passing gas through a long tube (usually coiled into a solenoid), allowing heat to be lost to the surrounding air. Metals such as copper have strong thermal conductivity and are often used to transport steam. In order to improve the efficiency of the condenser, heat sinks with excellent heat conduction properties are often added to the pipes to increase the heat dissipation area to accelerate heat dissipation, and use fans to speed up air convection to take away the heat.

To talk about the principle of a condenser, first understand the concept of a condenser. During the distillation process, the device that converts vapor into a liquid state is called a condenser.

The refrigeration principle of most condensers: the function of the refrigeration compressor is to compress lower-pressure vapor into higher-pressure steam, so that the volume of the steam decreases and the pressure increases. The refrigeration compressor inhales the lower-pressure working fluid vapor from the evaporator, raises the pressure, and sends it to the condenser. It is condensed into a higher-pressure liquid in the condenser. After being throttled by the throttle valve, it becomes a pressure-sensitive liquid. After the liquid is lower, it is sent to the evaporator, where it absorbs heat and evaporates to become steam with a lower pressure, thereby completing the refrigeration cycle.

1. Basic principles of refrigeration system

After the liquid refrigerant absorbs the heat of the object being cooled in the evaporator, it vaporizes into low-temperature and low-pressure steam, which is sucked into the refrigeration compressor, compressed into high-pressure and high-temperature steam, and then discharged into the condenser. In the condenser, it is fed to the cooling medium (water or Air) releases heat, condenses into high-pressure liquid, is throttled into low-pressure and low-temperature refrigerant by the throttle valve, and then enters the evaporator again to absorb heat and vaporize, achieving the purpose of cycle refrigeration. In this way, the refrigerant completes a refrigeration cycle through the four basic processes of evaporation, compression, condensation, and throttling in the system.

In the refrigeration system, the evaporator, condenser, compressor and throttle valve are the four essential parts of the refrigeration system. Among them, the evaporator is the equipment that transports cold energy. The refrigerant absorbs heat from the object being cooled to achieve refrigeration. The compressor is the heart and plays the role of sucking, compressing, and transporting refrigerant vapor. The condenser is a device that releases heat. It transfers the heat absorbed in the evaporator together with the heat converted by the compressor work to the cooling medium. The throttle valve throttles and depressurizes the refrigerant, controls and regulates the amount of refrigerant liquid flowing into the evaporator, and divides the system into two parts, the high-pressure side and the low-pressure side. In actual refrigeration systems, in addition to the above four major components, there are often some auxiliary equipment, such as solenoid valves, distributors, dryers, collectors, fusible plugs, pressure controllers and other components, which are used to improve operation. Economical, reliable and safe.

2. Principle of vapor compression refrigeration

The single-stage vapor compression refrigeration system is composed of four basic components: refrigeration compressor, condenser, evaporator and throttle valve. They are connected in sequence by pipes to form a closed system. The refrigerant continuously circulates in the system, changes state, and exchanges heat with the outside world.

3. Main components of refrigeration system

Refrigeration units can be divided into two types according to the condensation form: water-cooled refrigeration units and air-cooled refrigeration units. According to the purpose of use, they can be divided into two types: single cooling unit and refrigeration and heating type. No matter which type is composed, it is composed of the following It is composed of the main parts.

The condenser is a device that releases heat. It transfers the heat absorbed in the evaporator together with the heat converted by the compressor work to the cooling medium. The throttle valve throttles and reduces the pressure of the refrigerant, and at the same time controls and regulates the amount of refrigerant liquid flowing into the evaporator, and divides the system into two parts, the high-pressure side and the low-pressure side.
